Men's Varsity Head Coach
Coach Burrell is in his fifth year as the boy's head soccer coach at Collins Hill High School. He has a cumulative record of 53-35-1 at Collins Hill reaching the state finals in 2013. He spent his previous six years at Dacula high school as the head coach for the Falcons. He led the Falcons in 2010 to their first ever region championship and sweet sixteen of the state playoffs. He also served as head coach for the South Gwinnett Comets for three seasons before his tenure at Dacula High School. Before coming to Gwinnett County, Coach Burrell spent three years as the head coach for the Griffin Bears making it to the state playoffs his first two seasons.
Coach Burrell is a graduate of Georgia Southern University (1997) where he also played college soccer. He was named Southern Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and Third Team All South in 1997. He captained the Eagles to the first ever national ranking during the 1997 season. He earned his Bachelor’s in Science with an emphasis in Biology. He currently teaches Biology and Oceanography. Coach Burrell also earned his Master's in Secondary Science Education from Piedmont College. He has a wonderful wife, Jaclyn, and two children Jackson and Kaitlyn.
Men's JV Head Coach
Coach Josh Chase is a graduate of Collins Hill High School. He has a Bachelor's degree in English from Georgia Gwinnett College, and is currently working on his Master's Degree in teaching from West Georgia University. Coach Chase currently teaches Resource Language Arts in the Special Education Department. He has been on the soccer coaching staff for 3 years and this is his 2nd year coaching the Junior Varsity team.
Men's Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Jamie Gleeson is starting his first year at Collins Hill High School as an Assistant Coach for the Boys' Varsity team. He spent his previous 3 years as an Assistant Coach at North Hall High School in Gainesville, GA. Coach Gleeson graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2015. He played 4 years of collegiate soccer as a part of the UNG Men's Soccer Program, appearing in 62 matches for the nighthawks tallying 6 goals and 4 assists. He earned his Bachelors in Science with an emphasis in Mathematics and currently teaches Geometry and Algebra 1 at CHHS. Coach Gleeson holds a USSF National C License and NSCAA Goalkeeping License 1 & 2 and coaches club soccer at United FA.
Men's Varsity Assistant Coach
Bryhan played & graduated from Dacula High School in 2009. He Played for Coach Burrell his entire High School soccer career. After high school, Bryhan went on to play college soccer for Andrew College & graduated with an Associate's Degree in Athletic Training. He is currently also coaching at GSA (Gwinnett Soccer Association). He holds a US National E Coaching License. Bryhan is in his second year as an assistant coach for the varsity men's program.
Women's Varsity Head Coach
Coach Tinklepaugh returns for his 14th season with Collins Hill soccer, and his 10th season directing the Varsity Girls program. Prior to coming to Collins Hill, he worked with the boy's programs at Dacula and Central Gwinnett High Schools where he was a part of several runs through the playoffs, making it as far as the semi's with Central Gwinnett. In addition to coaching high school soccer, Coach Tinklepaugh was the Academy Director for Dacula Soccer Club from 2009 to spring of 2012 and is currently their Junior Academy Director and lead coach for the U-9 girl’s academy. He holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, USSF National Youth License and NSCAA High School Diploma. Coach Tinklepaugh received Coach of the Year honors from the Gwinnett Goal Club and was the Gwinnett Daily Post Girls AAAAAA Coach of the Year in 2011 and he was Coach of the year for Region 7-AAAAAA 2015. He has led the CHHS girl's program to the State playoffs every season since taking over the program, and to a region 7-AAAAAA championship in 2011 and 2016. In 2015, CHHS Varsity Girls made it to the Elite 8 and in 2016 to the Final 4, losing in a very close match to the eventual state champions, Lassiter.
Coach Tinklepuagh has taught physical education at Walnut Grove Elementary since it opened in 1992 and has been in education for 35 years. He is married to Pat Tinklepaugh and has two daughters Courtney (30) and Aubrey(27).
Women's JV Head Coach
Andy Luce is starting his fourth year coaching at Collins Hill. Coach Luce taught fifth grade at Walnut Grove Elementary for 10 years before coming over to Collins Hill in 2015 to teach in the Special Education Department.
He has been married to Amy for 29 years, and they have two daughters, Leonora (18) a student at GGC, and Rachel (12). Andy played basketball and baseball in high school and has been has been heavily involved in coaching both soccer (Dacula Soccer Club) and basketball at the middle school level for the past few years.
He is looking forward to being a part of another great season for the girl's soccer program at Collins Hill.
Women's Varsity Assistant Coach
Margaret is a recent graduate of Georgia State University (2016), where she majored in Exercise Science and minored in Entrepreneurship. As a four-year student athlete and starter for the Georgia State Women’s Soccer Team, she devoted an average of thirty hours per week to training, practices, meetings, travel, and game competition. Margaret interned with the GSU Strength & Conditioning Program, expanding her training knowledge, working with student athletes, teaching and coaching them the proper training forms and techniques.
During her time at Georgia State, Margaret achieved numerous academic and athletic honors; MVP 2014 & 2015, Team Captain 2014 and 2015, Sunbelt Conference Commissioner’s List 2014 through 2016, Dean’s List 2014 and 2016, and Athletic Director’s List 2014 and 2015.
Prior to college, Margaret attended and graduated from Collins Hill High School where she played soccer for 4 years. She was Team Captain 2012, MVP, All Region, All County, and an Eagle award recipient.
In addition to coaching, Margaret works for Orange Theory Fitness and GNC Wellness. She has a passion for fitness, wellness and coaching performance.
